About Me

Claudia Martin is a classical pianist, singer, fully qualified teacher, and performer. She graduated from the University of Chichester and holds Bachelors (BA) and Masters(MA) degrees in Music Performance and Instrumental Piano & Vocal Teaching. She also went on to complete the ATCL exam at Trinity College London.

Her music journey started at the age of 4 and she has been studying music up until higher levels and University. Besides the piano, she has also completed ABRSM exams (Grade 8) in the classical violin, voice, recorder, and flute. She has teaching experience working for the West Sussex Music Service at Chichester High School as a music assistant, which is also part of her university programme, and worked at Matrix Music School teaching the Yamaha Music Course.

She has performed at several music festivals and concerts and obtained awards at the Worthing Music Festival (February 2014). Her other concert recitals were held at St. Nicholas Church in (December 2022) where she did a Christmas performance to the church congregation to raise funds for the up keeping of the church. She also performed some of her piano and flute solo pieces (in November 2024, 2025) to raise funds for the St. Nicholas Church. Besides this, she also had the wonderful opportunity to attend a piano festival at Castlenuovo Italy in the summer (in July 2025). As for the flute, she performed at the flute choir concert which was held at Petersfield (in November 2025).

Claudia is very passionate about her teaching and believes that music education is important in the early development of young children. Her piano lessons are fun and enjoyable, encouraging students to take part in concerts to build students confidence and exposure to concert performances. She also does piano duets with the children and helps them to achieve their goals. She is currently a member of the Abingdon Community Orchestra, Winchester Flute Choir and also a member of St. Edmunds Choir, occasionally playing the organ for the services. As for St. Nicholas Church she plays the piano every 3rd Sunday.

Claudia is looking forward to more music opportunities for example: playing for fundraising events, concerts, and private functions. She hopes as a musician, she will be a role model to encourage other young children to develop and acquire musicianship skills. Therefore, she encourages her students to learn more than one instrument if it is available to them.
